Reviews
We booked a table here as we were passing Margate, and so glad we did. There was a really nice, relaxed vibe during our lunch and the team were very friendly. The food was delicious and fresh, although we were not blown away by pork and fennel sausage special. The squid sandwich was definitely our favourite! The wine list was extensive and really enjoyed the wines of tap. Would definitely recommend
It’s a great concept and a brilliant service! The staff are more than capable of recommending a wine to your liking. Fresh seafood is great! I’d only say don’t bother checking the menu ahead of the visit cause they change it quite regularly but one thing you can be sure of is that the food is great! Book ahead cause it’s tough to get a seat without a reservation. Enjoy!
The food was really delicious. The guy at the bar who served us was attentive and friendly. The place itself was cozy and interesting. The anchovies were unforgettable. It would be nice to have a bit more attention when sending off guests, at least to say goodbye. The girl standing by the door failed to do that.
During my lunch at this restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the warm and friendly welcome, setting the stage for an enjoyable experience. The ambiance is modern and open, with the kitchen visible to all, where the chefs are busy preparing dishes, creating an energetic yet carefully crafted atmosphere. The starter, asparagus with romesco sauce, was absolutely sublime. The asparagus was perfectly cooked, and the romesco sauce, rich in flavors, added a depth that elevated the dish. The main course, lemon sole with salmoriglio sauce, unfortunately didn’t meet expectations. The sauce, although flavorful, was far too spicy for my taste and completely overshadowed the delicate flavor of the sole. A milder touch on the spice would have allowed the subtlety of the fish to shine through. However, the dessert completely redeemed the meal. The panna cotta with rhubarb was a perfect finish. The freshness and tartness of the rhubarb paired beautifully with the smooth, creamy panna cotta, making for a deliciously balanced end to the meal. Overall, the restaurant offers a pleasant experience with interesting dishes, though the main course sauce could benefit from a bit more balance. Still, it’s a place I’d recommend for its ambiance and the quality of the ingredients.
Incredible fresh seafood dishes making the best use of local and seasonal ingredients and produce. We had the chunkiest fillets of anchovies I’d ever had, gorgeous plating as well, you can tell the chefs really put their heart into it. Service was AMAZING we were very well looked after, staff all incredibly friendly, truly impeccable vibes. House white was really fresh. Already my second time here and can’t wait to come back again! ⭐
